The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in global manufacturing environments and be able to drive blueprinting, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment activities across PP and WM.
Configure and support MRP, Demand Management, BOM, Routing, Work Centers, Production Orders, and Capacity Planning.
Enable detailed shop-floor execution, confirmations, settlements, and reporting.
Support Make-to-Stock (MTS), Make-to-Order (MTO) and repetitive manufacturing scenarios.
Analyze and optimize production cycle times, scheduling, and planning run performance.
Build functional specifications for enhancements, forms, and custom logic (BAPIs, user exits, BADIs).
Configure WM inbound, outbound, put-away, picking, internal warehouse movements, and transfer orders.
Integrate WM with PP, MM, QM for seamless material staging and consumption.
Support production supply area (PSA) setup and kanban-based replenishment.
Optimize warehouse master data such as storage types, bins, and control parameters.
Handle interface with barcode systems, RF scanning, and warehouse automation (nice to have).
Work closely with MM, QM, SD, FI/CO, and ABAP teams for integrated manufacturing and logistics flows.
Lead workshops, create FDDs, configuration docs, test scripts, SOPs, and training material.
Support unit testing, SIT, UAT, and go-live preparation.
Provide hyper-care and steady-state support ensuring smooth production operations.
7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PP, with strong exposure to end-to-end production processes.
Minimum 2 full lifecycle SAP implementations involving PP and WM.
Strong understanding of MRP, material staging, production order management, and warehouse execution.
Proven experience in WM-PP integration, especially staging and backflush processes.
Ability to troubleshoot production stoppages, WM exceptions, and master-data issues.
Experience writing functional specs and working closely with technical teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA (PP and EWM migration or simplification items).
Exposure to EWM is a plus.
Knowledge of MES integration, IoT/automation-driven production processes.
Understanding of quality inspection, batch management, and serial number handling.
